The Graduate Certificate in Applied Mathematics equips students and working scientists with advanced training across diverse applied mathematics fields through a structured program of mandatory and optional graduate-level courses. Core courses are selected from the Applied Mathematics Program's fundamental curriculum, while extensive elective options allow participants to build mathematical proficiency in specialized areas relevant to their career growth. Designed primarily for professionals beyond the university (such as local industry employees), this certification enhances professional credentials to support career advancement while strengthening university ties. Completing the Certificate program may also inspire participants to pursue MS or PhD degrees in Applied Mathematics.
