Political science explores systems of governance, public policies, and how individuals and groups engage in political activities. The Bachelor of Arts in Political Science program develops students' communication capabilities (including writing, debate, and public speaking) along with critical thinking skills. Learners explore core political science concepts: theories, governmental processes, foundational principles, institutional frameworks, legal systems, policy development, global relations, diplomatic affairs, and analytical approaches. The program encourages practical experiences beyond academics, such as internships with nonprofit entities and governmental bodies like the Arizona Legislature, Arizona Superior Court, and political campaigns.
