The dental assistant Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree is a two-year program that trains students to work effectively as part of a dental care team. This program expands upon the certificate curriculum by incorporating more advanced dental assisting classes along with health sciences and general education courses.

Over four semesters, students will enhance their dental assisting expertise across various specialties such as: prosthodontics, endodontics, periodontics, pediatric dentistry, orthodontics, and oral surgery. The program also strengthens foundational health knowledge through courses covering human anatomy, physiology, scientific principles, nutrition, and the application of medications in healthcare environments.
