The Master of Science in Psychology program focuses on developing a scientific understanding of human behavior. This general-experimental track covers various specialties including applied experimental, biological, cognitive, developmental, human factors, industrial/organizational psychology, psycholegal studies, and research-oriented psychopathology courses. Students collaborate directly with faculty in laboratory settings to acquire practical research experience.
The Experimental Psychology M.S. requires 30 credit hours plus a thesis, while the non-thesis alternative involves 33 credit hours with an internship and comprehensive examinations. Participants can opt to concentrate in Industrial/Organizational psychology.
This graduate program primarily serves students pursuing academic research and scholarly work, while also preparing professionals for applied settings.
