Our focus on graduate education traces back to UAH's beginnings. The university's first conferred degree was a Master's in mathematics, awarded in 1964 - four years before any bachelor's degrees were granted. Over the years, we've continuously strived to deliver exceptional graduate programs, combining rigorous academic training with personalized guidance essential for advanced study.
Our faculty now enjoy national and international recognition for their research contributions. Several members have served as consultants for prestigious institutions including NASA and the Army Missile Command.
Applicants must have a minimum grade-point average of B (3.0) on the undergraduate record, and have a minimum total score of 300 on the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) and a minimum score of 3.0 on the analytical writing portion. For the English, Nursing, and Public Affairs programs, applicants must have a minimum total score of 410 on the MAT.
Applicants must meet the following minimums on the TOEFL or IELTS. TOEFL (iBT): all sub-scores greater than or equal to 18 OR IELTS: all sub-scores greater than or equal to 6.0.
