The Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood/Early Childhood Special Education program equips students to educate children from infancy through age 8 across various settings, including mainstream preschools, specialized preschools, and intervention programs. This CAEP-accredited program meets all Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE) standards. Graduates will obtain dual ALSDE Class A teaching certifications covering both early childhood education (Pre-K to 3rd grade) and early childhood special education (birth to age 8).
International applicants must meet all established requirements for admission from secondary schools or from other colleges and universities.
In order to be considered for admission to degree programs with no additional English language training required, applicants must meet the following minimums on the TOEFL or IELTS.
TOEFL (iBT): all sub-scores greater than or equal to 18 OR
IELTS: all sub-scores greater than or equal to 6.0
