The Graphic Design program at The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) emphasizes the artistic elements of creating both print and digital graphics.
The curriculum explores real-world applications in corporate, publishing, and advertising environments. Students master advertising fundamentals, industry techniques, and the abilities needed to solve design challenges effectively. Coursework covers visual design basics, advertising & design concepts, creative problem-solving, typography, print processes, brand identity, editorial design, illustration, and web creation. Digital design techniques are woven into multiple courses across the curriculum. Upon completion, graduates will be skilled in Mac-based design tools through our digital labs, preparing them for diverse careers in the design field.
International applicants must meet all established requirements for admission from secondary schools or from other colleges and universities.
In order to be considered for admission to degree programs with no additional English language training required, applicants must meet the following minimums on the TOEFL or IELTS.
TOEFL (iBT): all sub-scores greater than or equal to 18 OR
IELTS: all sub-scores greater than or equal to 6.0
