The Bachelor of Science in Public Health provides a comprehensive foundation in public health studies and application, exposing students to various specialized fields (such as epidemiology, health behavior, and health policy). Students collaborate directly with community organizations to enhance population health outcomes. Recognized by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH), this program equips graduates to:
Analyze and interpret public health data to pinpoint critical community health issues.
Understand the value of research-backed approaches for tackling public health concerns.
Effectively communicate health improvement initiatives to various groups through both verbal and written advocacy.

The curriculum includes 24 credit hours of foundational courses covering public health's interdisciplinary nature. Students can participate in hands-on learning experiences like internships, service projects, research opportunities, and study abroad programs. The culminating Public Health Capstone course helps students transition into professional practice or advanced studies by integrating knowledge gained throughout the program.
