Athletic trainers (ATs) are extensively trained healthcare specialists offering a wide range of services including injury prevention, emergency response, clinical assessment, therapeutic treatment, and recovery management. The University of Alabama's Athletic Training Program is a competitive two-year master's degree designed for aspiring professionals.
We aim to equip students for the BOC certification exam and rewarding careers in athletic training. Through rigorous graduate studies, we combine cutting-edge instruction with practical learning opportunities across classroom, lab, and clinical settings, focusing on research-backed methods, teamwork in healthcare, and inclusive patient-focused treatment.
Our program operates from Capital Hall, a modern facility featuring innovative classroom and laboratory designs. With all academic spaces consolidated in one building, we foster stronger faculty-student interaction and enduring mentorship relationships that continue after students complete their studies.
