The Spanish Concentration in the Romance Languages MA program aims to boost Spanish language skills for non-native speakers while cultivating intercultural understanding related to Spain and other Spanish-speaking communities worldwide. It focuses on building analytical abilities in Spanish and Latin American (including Latinx) language, culture, and linguistics. This concentration offers two specialized tracks: literature/culture studies and linguistics, both available with or without a thesis option. Qualified Accelerated Master's Program students can pursue either track while completing their undergraduate degree.

Qualification Requirements
Each international applicant must hold the equivalent of a U.S. four-year bachelor's degree from an accredited institution to be eligible for graduate admission. While individual departments may have more stringent requirements, bachelor degrees from Bologna Accord certified institutions are considered to meet this criterion. We do also consider Indian three-year degrees to be equivalent to a U.S. four-year degree.
