The Psychology Department's core principle is to foster independent academic work while building expertise in psychology's essential domains and specialized fields. We educate psychologists to become researchers and research-practitioners, offering comprehensive scientific training, focused academic concentrations, teaching possibilities, and hands-on professional experience.
Our developmental psychology track caters to students fascinated by social, cognitive, and/or linguistic growth within family and cultural settings.
This program equips graduates for roles in research, education, and practical developmental applications. It's designed for those drawn to studying either typical or atypical growth patterns, whether pursuing theoretical investigations or practical studies.
