This specialized field is entirely embedded within clinical psychology. All faculty members hold licenses as clinical psychologists, and every graduate student undergoes foundational training in clinical psychology.
The program integrates three interconnected elements. Initially, students gain knowledge in clinical-forensic psychology, covering both criminal and civil matters such as competency evaluations, mental state during offenses, sentencing considerations, personal injury assessments, witness preparation, jury selection, juvenile delinquency, and psychological practices in correctional environments. Next, students collaborate with mentors to create personalized research projects. Finally, they apply these concepts through supervised practical experiences.
