The Apparel and Textiles program features two interconnected study tracks in the vibrant fashion realm: Apparel Design and Fashion Retailing. These specialized paths are carefully designed to deliver a thorough, organized education that equips students for the diverse and constantly changing fashion sector.
Within the Apparel Design focus, we highlight the essential need to tackle complex universal design challenges, inclusive approaches, eco-conscious practices, and fostering robust design thinking abilities.
Students engage deeply with core design fundamentals like color theory while learning to implement these concepts in real-world scenarios. Our well-rounded program also prioritizes nurturing design thinking capabilities. Through diverse projects and coursework, students develop creative problem-solving approaches to design challenges. They're inspired to innovate, assess user requirements, and contemplate the ecological and societal implications of their creations. This design thinking methodology enhances their capacity to produce not just visually appealing clothing but also solutions for actual problems, staying true to sustainable and inclusive ideals.
