Advanced technologies are revolutionizing the practices of surveying and mapping, which involve measuring land surfaces and creating maps, profiles, cross sections, and alignments. Technicians in this field gather data on-site, perform computations, and utilize computer-aided design. Building on technician-level education, this curriculum offers the academic foundation required to seek licensure as a professional surveyor.
Acquire hands-on professional experience via an internship or the university's optional cooperative education and job placement initiative. Through co-op, you will alternate between work and study semesters while receiving a competitive wage.
Engage directly with surveying and mapping technology in the program's two computerized labs, which are outfitted for:
map production and GIS/GPS operations
surveying equipment studies and practical applications

You are a high school student or have completed high school or equivalent and have never enrolled in a college/university. SAT or ACT is not required for standard admission or admission scholarship consideration for all types of applicants. An official SAT or ACT score is required to be considered for direct admission into your intended major.
All undergraduate international applicants must provide proof of English proficiency by meeting the minimum score from one of the following acceptable tests. This requirement can be waived if you meet certain criteria.
