Adolescent to Young Adult educators enhance student learning by exploring subjects more thoroughly than in middle and secondary schools, while broadening their global awareness. The core curriculum blends theoretical knowledge with practical application to ready you for certification. The AYA Education program mandates completion of one specialization area: Integrated Language Arts, Integrated Social Studies, Integrated Mathematics, or Science.
Before student teaching, you'll complete over 100 hours of hands-on training across diverse educational environments.
Student teaching serves as the capstone experience, guided by both College of Education professors and experienced classroom teachers.
