Global politics have experienced significant transformation in the last twenty years. The dissolution of the Soviet Union, the European Union's ongoing development, Middle Eastern developments, China's growing influence alongside other emerging nations, the impact of non-governmental organizations and terrorist networks, along with economic concerns at both national and international levels all signal a fundamental change in world affairs. While the Cold War's half-century dominance has ended, its successor in terms of global norms and structures remains uncertain. What's evident is the growing interconnectedness of nations, the reevaluation of conventional beliefs and identities, and the probable emergence of fresh global challenges.
The Master of Science in International Relations (MSIR) is a 36-credit program comprising twelve courses, structured to equip students with essential knowledge and frameworks for comprehending international relations theory and practice. The curriculum fosters broad understanding of political, historical, cultural, economic, and geographical influences on global affairs. This comprehensive perspective is achieved through coursework emphasizing international relations theory while incorporating insights from history, economics, and geography. Additionally, students develop methodological and analytical competencies that enhance their capacity to assess both domestic and international events.
