All educator preparation programs for certification receive approval from the Alabama State Department of Education. Prospective teachers should review individual program details for qualification criteria and graduation prerequisites. Certification recommendations will only be made for students formally admitted to and successfully completing all requirements of an authorized teacher preparation program.
The College of Education's certification programs aim to cultivate expert classroom educators, instructional support professionals, and educational specialists capable of serving P-12 students with excellence. These graduates emerge as school leaders and active contributors to the education field.
Troy Global Campus education students must satisfy all specialized accreditation standards (CAEP, CACREP, and CORE) to graduate from accredited programs. A maximum of 12 credit hours from institutions lacking proper specialized accreditation may potentially count toward degree completion.
