Participants gain access to cutting-edge research and skill development at both national and global levels, promoting innovation, entrepreneurial thinking, and creative problem-solving through interdisciplinary collaboration.
Jefferson's MUD stands out by concentrating on modern urban concerns like resilience, carbon neutrality, wellness, and smart technology integration. Partnering with the Jefferson Institute for Smart & Healthy Cities provides exceptional research and professional engagement prospects. The program pioneers new approaches by merging urban analytics, computational design, and smart technologies to tackle climate issues, public health crises, and other emerging challenges. Students can specialize in public health through the Jefferson College of Population Health or select other concentrations within the College of Architecture & the Built Environment, such as Geodesign, Urban Revitalization, Smart Cities & Urban Analytics, or Resilient Cities.
