Our Couple and Family Therapy (CFT) Program provides a Master of Family Therapy Degree, structured as an intensive two-year, 66-credit curriculum following COAMFTE accreditation standards. This comprehensive program emphasizes modern therapeutic approaches through a bio-psychosocial lens, examining how biological, psychological, and social elements collectively influence behavior in individuals, couples, families, and broader systems.
The program prioritizes cultural competency, preparing therapists to thoughtfully address diversity's role in family dynamics and treatment. After completing their first year, students choose between two specialized pathways: the Sex Therapy Track, featuring two in-depth courses on sexual health, or the Family Therapy Track, focusing on medical family therapy and domestic violence interventions.
