Bachelor's Degree
To earn a Master of Social Work degree, students can choose from four different pathways. Standard admission candidates (without a prior bachelor's in social work) must complete 59 graduate-level credit hours, which includes 900 hours of field placement, starting in the fall semester. Full-time students in this track typically finish in two years, while part-time students usually complete the program in four years. Those holding an undergraduate social work degree from a CSWE-accredited (or approved) program may qualify for advanced standing. Advanced standing students generally begin in summer, complete 32 graduate credits with 500 field placement hours, and can finish in one year full-time or two years part-time.
