The Master of Science in Manufacturing Engineering (M.S.Mfg.E) program enhances expertise and career-ready competencies in cutting-edge, biomedical, and eco-conscious manufacturing. This 30-credit-hour program offers both thesis and non-thesis tracks. Thesis track: Participants must complete five core manufacturing courses (IE 5351, IE 5352, IE 5355, IE 5356, and IE 5357) plus 6 thesis research credits (IE 6000). A maximum of two courses may be selected from outside the Whitacre College of Engineering. The program culminates with a written thesis and oral defense. Non-thesis track: Students take the same five core manufacturing courses, with up to two permitted from outside the college. This path concludes with a comprehensive oral exam.
