This program requires at least 60 credit hours beyond undergraduate studies and culminates in either a written thesis or a thesis project. As an intensive professional training initiative, the MFA delivers comprehensive education and hands-on experience within a chosen specialization. The Design concentration equips students for careers in professional theater and academic settings. Following foundational coursework in various design disciplines, students concentrate on their preferred design field, creating a customized program aligned with their skills and passions. Blending academic study with practical production experience, every MFA Design student undertakes significant design responsibilities or production roles each semester.
