Collaborating with Texas Tech University School of Law, the J.D./MBA program caters to driven students passionate about the connection between legal studies and business administration. This dual-degree pathway equips you with essential knowledge to propel your professional journey, whether you aim to launch an independent practice or navigate the legal and ethical dimensions of corporate leadership. You can complete both degrees within three to four years by applying 12 credit hours of approved law classes as MBA electives, and vice versa. Note that Rawls College graduate courses don't factor into your Texas Tech Law School GPA or academic standing. Dedicated advisors from both institutions will guide you in fulfilling all graduation criteria for both programs. Law students can initiate the dual program either the summer before their first law year or the summer following it. Admission requires approval from both the School of Law and Rawls College of Business. The business college offers Microsoft Office Excel Specialist certification. Since all MBA programs follow a structured sequence, consult your MBA advisor for proper course planning.
