The combined JD/MBA program allows students to obtain both degrees while taking six fewer courses than pursuing them individually. Graduates of this dual-degree program receive an MBA focused on business law alongside their Juris Doctor degree.

Qualification Requirements

Current law students should apply during their second semester in the law school for admission the following fall quarter. Students will begin their studies in Quinlan during their second year in the Law School.
Law school students with a 158 LSAT and who have completed their first year of law studies with a 3.0 GPA and are in good standing will be granted automatic admission to the MBA program upon application. Students work with an advisor in each school to plan their respective programs of study.
You must submit official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended through LSAC's CAS.
We require one letter of recommendation, which you can submit through LSAC. Your recommender should address your ability to successfully complete law studies.
All applicants must take the LSAT, which is administered by LSAC several times a year. We will consider your highest score from the past 5 years.

Transcript evaluation. If you completed any postsecondary work outside of the United States or Canada (except for study abroad coursework), regardless of the language of the instruction or transcript, you must submit your transcripts through the LSAC Credential Assembly Service Authentication and Evaluation.
An official TOEFL or IELTS score report is required for international applicants whose native language is not English. The minimum acceptable total score on the Internet-Based Test (IBT) of the TOEFL exam is 100. The minimum acceptable total score on the IELTS exam is 7.0.
Applicants must submit official transcripts for all undergraduate and any graduate work. To be eligible for admission, your transcript must show an earned bachelor's degree or a bachelor's degree in progress. Certified copies of transcripts are acceptable, faxed copies of transcripts are not considered official. If you attended Loyola University Chicago previously, you do not need to request transcripts, we have them on record. Copies of transcripts or transcripts not received in a sealed envelope from the university are considered unofficial. If you attended Loyola University Chicago previously, you do not need to request transcripts. We strongly encourage electronic submission of documents. Official transcripts should show a GPA of 3.0 or higher. In exceptional cases, applicants whose undergraduate GPA is below 3.0 may be admitted.
