This program provides advanced studies in literature, creative writing, and linguistics. Designed as more than just an extension of undergraduate studies, it offers a unique educational journey that emphasizes deeper exploration and cultivates analytical skills. The English Department provides both in-person and online M.A. programs, with identical course offerings across both formats. The English M.A. is a 36-credit degree with thesis and non-thesis tracks. Students choosing the thesis path take 30 credits of graduate coursework plus 6 thesis credits, culminating in a written thesis and defense. The non-thesis alternative involves completing 36 credits of coursework and preparing a portfolio featuring revised essays or creative works, accompanied by a reflective essay, followed by a defense.

Qualification Requirements
International applicants must provide original language documents and English translations. If the documents are not provided in English, an official English translation of all transcripts/ individual semester mark sheets is required.
If admitted, the applicant will be required to submit official transcripts, diplomas/degree certificates, and test scores by the twelfth class day of the term to which the applicant is admitted.
Original or Certified Copies of All College and University Transcripts - Include mark sheets, examination results, etc. An official English translation is required. If the degree is not complete when the application is made, six semesters or three years of course work are required.
