The Graduate Certificate in Gerontology is a 12-credit interdisciplinary program delivered via the Great Plains Interactive Distance Education Alliance (GPIDEA), a partnership of six universities. This program equips professionals who work with older adults or engage in education and research concerning aging populations. All coursework is conducted online. To earn the certificate, students must take 6 credits from Block 1 (Foundations) and an additional 6 credits from elective Blocks 2 (The Aging Individual), 3 (Aging in Context), or 4 (Translational Practice in Gerontology) provided by Great Plains IDEA member institutions.
