The Bachelor of Science in Geosciences equips graduates with a strong foundation for pursuing advanced studies or professional careers in the field. This degree program prepares students with essential knowledge, methodologies, and technical competencies to tackle global challenges and safeguard our planet's ecosystems. To continue in the B.S. program, students must maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA at TTU. Those falling below this standard will have one semester to improve their academic standing. Transfer students must also meet the 2.5 GPA requirement for admission. All major, minor, and adjunct courses require a minimum grade of C, with adjunct courses completed satisfactorily before advancing to upper-level geoscience classes. The B.S. curriculum includes mandatory fieldwork; students unable to meet this requirement may want to explore the Bachelor of Arts option instead.
