The Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering equips students with the foundational knowledge required for conceptualizing, designing, developing, and manufacturing electrical, electronic, computer, and information technology products and systems. Students can focus on specializations such as networks and communication systems, micro and nano devices and systems, or computer engineering. Mathematics proficiency is particularly crucial in Electrical Engineering. Both the B.S. in Electrical Engineering and the B.S. with a Computer Engineering Concentration are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET. Electrical Engineering is the field that focuses on electricity, electromagnetism, and electronics technology.
The bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering aims to give students the mathematical, scientific, management, engineering, and practical skills necessary for careers in various industries, where they design and create electrical and electronic devices, systems, and services. Electrical engineers also participate in numerous large-scale, multi-disciplinary projects in sectors like aerospace, automotive, computer systems, construction, instrumentation, healthcare, and others.
