The Mathematics Department provides graduate programs culminating in a Master of Science degree in Statistical Analytics, Computing and Modeling (SACM). Students can specialize in either Statistics or Applied Mathematics, with the choice between a Thesis or Project completion path. These advanced courses may also complement other academic disciplines.
This curriculum equips students with expertise in key statistical and mathematical applications, practical skills in relevant software, and sufficient theoretical knowledge to support ongoing professional growth.
The SACM Master's program offers two specialization paths: Statistics and Applied Mathematics. Students may opt for either the Thesis route (30 semester credit hours) or the Project alternative (36 semester credit hours).
Prospective students should have completed a minimum of 6 semester hours of upper-level mathematics courses beyond multivariate calculus and differential equations. Conditional admission may be granted to those lacking these prerequisites.
