The School of Music provides Master of Music programs in Music Education, Performance, and Conducting. Prospective students must complete a graduate-level placement exam for appropriate course assignment. Those applying for Performance or Conducting degrees must also arrange and complete an admission audition and interview with the School of Music, in addition to university acceptance. Applicants should reach out to their respective instrumental/vocal faculty or ensemble director to schedule these evaluations. Music Education candidates are required to undertake a three-credit research project relevant to their teaching specialization (Research Project Option). Performance and Conducting students fulfill their research requirement through recitals or concerts, with the alternative of completing an in-depth thesis (Thesis Option).
