Our program provides performance experiences through diverse ensembles available to all university students, such as the university orchestra, symphonic and concert bands, pep band, jazz ensemble, university choir, Camerata Isla (chamber choir), and Corpus Christi Chorale. Music majors additionally engage in small ensembles like string quartets, woodwind and brass groups, percussion ensembles, guitar groups, and others. As an accredited institution by the National Association of Schools of Music, we provide three undergraduate music degree options to support your professional aspirations: the Bachelor of Arts in Music, the Bachelor of Music with Teacher Certification, and the Bachelor of Music in Performance. The Bachelor of Arts in Music features two specialized paths: Music Industry Focus and Music Studies Focus. Additionally, students may pursue a general Music Performance minor or a Music Industry minor, incorporating coursework in audio technology and music business.
