The Biomedical Genomics & Bioinformatics (BG&B) academic pathway equips BIMS PhD and Master's Thesis candidates for careers combining genetic fundamentals with cutting-edge experimental and computational methods.

Participants in this program investigate genetic and genomic concepts alongside faculty researchers focused on gene structure, function, and regulation across entire genomes, linking genetic makeup to observable traits in various species including pets, farm animals, research models, and humans.

Research focuses span animal disease models, medical genomics, evolutionary genome studies, population genetics, conservation genomics, epigenetic regulation, immune system genomics, and agricultural/wildlife genome science.
