The Reading & Literacy program provides Master of Science (M.S.), Master of Education (M.Ed.), and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees in Curriculum and Instruction. The M.Ed. can be completed either online or on-campus. Alongside the core curriculum common to all Curriculum and Instruction students, participants will engage in specialized courses focused on Reading and Literacy. Additionally, learners may choose to obtain a Reading Specialist Certification.
For the online Reading Specialist certification, the program blends both self-paced and live virtual classes. Six courses are conducted in real-time, following fixed schedules that align with their in-person counterparts. Students taking these courses will participate remotely through video conferencing alongside the physical classroom attendees.
