The Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Interdisciplinary Studies (INST) with Middle Grades 4-8 Language Arts/Social Studies certification prepares students for Texas teacher certification in these subjects. This hands-on program requires significant classroom time in middle schools. Participants earn their B.S. in INST by completing 125 credit hours through a combination of fieldwork and academic coursework. The Field Experiences Office manages and coordinates all field placement arrangements.
