The integrated Bachelor-Master program is a five-year dual-degree track that enables BA TCMS students to smoothly advance into the MA COMM program, completing both degrees within five years or less.
New cohorts launch each fall. Applicants should submit their materials during spring of their junior year, maintaining at least two remaining undergraduate semesters when applying. Dedicated advisors from both undergraduate and graduate programs will provide continuous support throughout the journey. This initiative enhances learning possibilities, giving students more time to explore advanced coursework and the diverse academic offerings within our department.
This pathway particularly benefits students entering Texas A&M with exam credits, dual enrollment, or transfer credits. The extended timeline allows these accelerated students – who might otherwise graduate in just two or three years – to engage in campus organizations, assume leadership roles, secure transformative internships, join study abroad experiences, contribute to faculty research, and qualify for prestigious fellowships or competitive programs. Earning a Master's degree adds significant value, fostering deeper mentor relationships that frequently open new academic and professional pathways for students.
