The Media and Screen Studies BA program provides both analytical and hands-on coursework. Core classes equip students with critical thinking abilities to deeply comprehend media content, technologies, and creation processes. Learners then select their preferred balance between production and theory classes. With diverse electives available, students may focus primarily on film and media production, concentrate on critical media analysis, or blend these approaches according to their interests.

All first-year applicants are required to submit the Self-Reported Academic Record (SRAR). Once your application is submitted and processed, you will be able to access your SRAR through the Application Status Check portal.
All high school transcripts must be sent directly to Northeastern by your high school by the application deadline. Any transcripts sent by you, your family or an independent educational consultant will not be accepted.
First-year applicants must provide a transcript which includes final grades from grades 9, 10, and 11 (or the international equivalents).
190 to 202 on either C1 Advanced (CAE) or C2 Proficiency (CPE)
130 to 145 on the Duolingo English Test (DET)
