For students passionate about media, the Bachelor of Arts in Telecommunication Media Studies (TCMS) offers an ideal path. This BA program provides a comprehensive liberal arts education focused on media, enriched by courses from the College of Arts and Sciences and other disciplines. The TCMS curriculum includes foundational studies in communication technology, media history, research methods, and media theory, followed by diverse elective options in communication, film studies, journalism, and business. As a flexible, media-centric liberal arts degree, the BA also incorporates foreign language study.
First-year students start with a tailored introductory semester that explores the wide-ranging field of Communication and Media through small-group activities while familiarizing them with Texas A&M University's resources and opportunities. Transfer students are equally welcomed, with personalized support to help them join the Communication community.
A TCMS degree opens doors to diverse career paths. are not a citizen or permanent resident of the United States or
are not graduating from a Texas high school after three years in residence in Texas and
are a student without college credit or
earned college credit prior to high school graduation (dual credit/early college high school)
English proficiency can also be demonstrated by:
Minimum TOEFL i-BT score of 80
Minimum TOEFL Essentials score of 8.5
Minimum IELTS Academic test score of 6.0 overall band (Texas A&M University does not accept the IELTS General test)
