The Political Science Bachelor of Arts program provides a comprehensive liberal arts education designed to deepen students' knowledge of both international and domestic political systems. It includes rigorous training in social science research techniques, sharpens analytical skills, and improves written, oral, and visual communication abilities. Along with mandating four semesters of foreign language study, the BA curriculum incorporates diverse courses from Texas A&M University. The flexible core requirements and elective options enable students to build a balanced educational foundation that supports their academic and career aspirations.
In their specialization, students can advance their studies in areas including American government structures, political processes, global affairs, comparative government systems, political philosophy, research methods, public policy and management, as well as racial and ethnic politics.
Political Science graduates enjoy numerous career opportunities across various sectors. Common career paths include government service, legal professions, K-12 and university education, corporate environments, non-profit organizations, media, and beyond.

are not a citizen or permanent resident of the United States or
are not graduating from a Texas high school after three years in residence in Texas and
are a student without college credit or
earned college credit prior to high school graduation (dual credit/early college high school)

Minimum TOEFL i-BT score of 80
Minimum TOEFL Essentials score of 8.5
Minimum IELTS Academic test score of 6.0 overall band (Texas A&M University does not accept the IELTS General test)
