The Master of Science in Environmental Science provides three specialization tracks: Geospatial Sciences, Natural Resources, and Plant Sciences. Students can choose between thesis and non-thesis pathways. For the thesis option across all concentrations - Geospatial Sciences, Natural Resources, and Plant Sciences - students must complete at least twenty-six (26) course credits plus a four (4) credit thesis. Degree candidates in all concentrations need to fulfill eighteen (18) core credits: AGSC 5060, AGSC 5110, AGSC 5120, AGSC 5500 or AGSC 5510, AGSC 5260, AGSC 5610, AGSC 5620, along with twelve (12) concentration-specific credits. The non-thesis alternative requires thirty-five (35) course credits, including eleven (11) core credits: AGSC 5060, AGSC 5110, AGSC 5350, AGSC 5610, AGSC 5620, plus fifteen (15) concentration credits. All course selections require approval from both the academic advisor and department chair.
