The Master of Education in Instructional Leadership program offers three specialization tracks: Licensure, Non-Licensure, and Career and Technical Education (CTE). The Licensure track prepares aspiring school principals. The Non-Licensure option caters to educational leaders overseeing operations in various learning environments, including schools, early childhood centers, higher education institutions, corporate training departments, correctional facilities, government agencies, museums, and workforce development programs. The CTE concentration focuses on developing leaders for technical education settings, including high schools, the Tennessee Department of Education, and technical colleges.

Qualification Requirements

Admission to the program requires the applicant to have a bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university, an undergraduate cumulative grade point average of 2.75 or better on a 4.0 scale, and submission of an official report of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) score or Millers Analogies Test (MAT) score is required for admission.
