Nurses with a Master of Science in Nursing from an accredited national program may qualify for postgraduate studies in FNP Nursing. To pursue Advanced Practice Nursing, three prerequisite courses must be completed within the last five years: Advanced Health Assessment (both didactic and clinical components), Advanced Pathophysiology, and Advanced Pharmacology. If these courses were not part of the applicant's MSN curriculum, they must be completed through TSU prior to admission to the postgraduate certificate program. The FNP Post-Graduate Certificate program requires nine didactic credit hours (NURS5150, NURS5160, and NURS5171) along with their corresponding clinical hours (NURS5154, NURS5164, and NURS5174, totaling 600 clock hours), culminating in 15 total credit hours for successful completion.
