As educators, we nurture our students' academic growth through comprehensive coursework, distinguished guest lectures, hands-on internships, research projects, and personalized guidance. By investigating historical occurrences and their influence on society, we cultivate knowledgeable scholars who value our complex, evolving global community. Students can pursue either a Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BS) in History, both demanding completion of TSU's core curriculum alongside 39 credit hours in history. The BA program mandates four semesters of foreign language study or demonstrated proficiency, while the BS track offers concentrations in public history or interdisciplinary social science studies without language requirements.

Minimum grade point average of 2.50 on a 4.00 system.
An applicant whose native language is not English is required to submit a test score of 61 as the minimum acceptance level of performance on the Test of English as a Foreign Language, (TOEFL) IBT or 5.0 on the IELTS (International English Language Testing System). We will also accept the Duolingo English Test with a score of 71 or higher. International students with superior scholastic records are considered for admission as freshmen and as transfer students.
