Enhance your piano expertise through the Jazz Piano Undergraduate Certificate at Temple's Boyer College of Music and Dance. Open to both music majors and non-majors, this 12-credit program equips you with core jazz piano skills and ensemble performance experience. The curriculum blends practical training with theoretical understanding, starting with fundamental music theory concepts in written and aural formats. Private instruction will refine your technique, while additional classes focus on improvisation and small-group performance. If you are attending a secondary school curriculum that is four years, Temple University reviews grades nine through 11 as well as your current progress in 12th grade (term/quarter/semester/predicted) or your final transcript if you completed secondary school.
If you are attending a secondary school curriculum that is only three years, we strongly recommend you submit the final year of your primary school as well.
