The Forensic Chemistry PSM program aims to equip students with a comprehensive skill set and knowledge base by emphasizing analytical techniques, preparing them to address challenges in forensic, environmental, and related chemistry fields. Key program goals involve delivering:

a solid foundation in forensic chemistry principles,
hands-on training in forensic techniques, and
expertise valuable across academic, industrial, and governmental sectors.
The program strives to secure meaningful employment for graduates and support career growth for working chemists.

Core coursework covers contemporary forensic chemistry subjects, applied biopharmaceutics, data interpretation, legal and ethical considerations, and toxicology. Students must attend yearly symposia featuring forensic science experts discussing cutting-edge advancements. Numerous courses incorporate practical training in a specialized forensic chemistry lab setting. Each student undertakes an independent research project designed to enhance forensic expertise, positioning graduates as capable practitioners and future leaders in the field. Completion of a forensic chemistry internship is mandatory for all participants.
