The Master of Science in Information Science and Technology (IS&T) program caters to students lacking prior programming or computer science experience, equipping them with essential skills for careers in computing and IT. This program enables graduates from non-technical disciplines to acquire technical proficiency for emerging interdisciplinary career opportunities. Participants develop expertise in areas including computer networking, database administration, cybersecurity, mobile application creation, software development, quality assurance testing, and web design. To establish fundamental knowledge, the program offers intensive introductory courses covering algorithms, data structures, and programming. Prospective students can select either the on-campus or online option, both featuring identical course content. The delivery methods vary as follows: The on-campus option suits students seeking campus engagement and direct interaction with faculty and peers, available for full-time or part-time enrollment with primarily evening in-person classes spanning traditional 16-week semesters. The online alternative provides flexible learning through mostly asynchronous coursework with weekly virtual class sessions, accommodating both full-time and part-time students.
