Temple University's Master of Education in Early Childhood Education equips you with the essential skills to obtain initial teacher certification for pre-K through 4th grade instruction. This graduate program delivers both theoretical understanding and teaching methods tailored to children's developmental stages from early childhood through adolescence. In addition to core coursework, you'll refine teaching approaches for literacy, math, science, and social studies that align with young learners' cognitive and emotional growth. The curriculum also covers effective instruction for English language learners, students with disabilities, and those facing learning obstacles. The program concludes with a full-semester student teaching placement to refine your classroom teaching and management abilities, followed by a capstone course for reflecting on your teaching experience and overall program journey.
