This Accelerated Program enables Environmental Studies undergraduates in the College of Liberal Arts to earn both their bachelor's degree and, subsequently, a Master's in Middle Grades Education within one additional year. The graduate program fulfills Pennsylvania's certification requirements for teaching grades 4-8. Participants will qualify to teach all elementary subjects for grades 4-6, while specializing in one secondary subject area for grades 7-8. Certification options include dual specializations (Math/Science, Math/English, or Science/English) or single concentrations (English, Math, Science, or Social Studies).

Your application must include all official and original academic records from any secondary school you have ever attended.
If you are attending a secondary school curriculum that is four years, Temple University reviews grades nine through 11 as well as your current progress in 12th grade (term/quarter/semester/predicted) or your final transcript if you completed secondary school.
If you are attending a secondary school curriculum that is only three years, we strongly recommend you submit the final year of your primary school as well.
