Communication Studies is an interdisciplinary program focused on academic exploration. It combines aesthetic, analytical, critical, historical, and theoretical approaches to communication, drawing from various departments within the Klein College of Media and Communication. The program offers flexibility, enabling students to explore diverse areas within the communications field while fostering personal academic development. Students can tailor their studies to complete the degree efficiently. Within this interdisciplinary framework, Communication Studies students choose from specialized tracks: Communication and Entrepreneurship, Contemporary Media Environments, Global Civil Society, Policy, Regulation and Advocacy, or Production (exclusive to Temple Japan students). Advanced scholars may opt for the Major of Distinction track. The program's adaptable structure provides opportunities for field experiences, internships, and study abroad programs, enriching students' educational journeys. This innovative program attracts individuals with varied skills and interests, preparing graduates for diverse career paths, including graduate studies, law school, or professional programs.
