The Film and Media Studies program, which culminates in an Associate of Arts degree, emphasizes the historical and analytical exploration of cinema and connected media forms. This curriculum aims to familiarize students with cinematic literature and critique while offering foundational insights into film history, highlighting contributions from prominent directors worldwide. Optional courses broaden this educational experience by introducing learners to film production fundamentals, technical aspects, and creative methodologies. The program's objective is to cultivate a discerning perspective on visual media through theoretical frameworks, critical evaluation, and comparative cultural studies.
Graduates of high schools or equivalent are eligible for admission, with the equivalent of a GPA of 2.0 or better.
Students must be 18 years or older by the start of the semester without restrictions.
