The Executive Master of International Relations (EMIR) program is designed for mid-career professionals who possess a minimum of seven years in management roles, currently holding positions above entry-level supervision across public, private, NGO, and nonprofit sectors. This program concentrates on global perspectives, addressing both the prospects and obstacles leaders encounter in today's rapidly changing international landscape, while enhancing competencies in international relations. Participants come from diverse backgrounds including international government bodies, NGOs, various levels of domestic government agencies, as well as nonprofit and corporate entities.

Have at least 7 years of work experience in a position with significant organizational responsibility, including managerial positions in the public or non-profit sectors or related public policy development (5 years for the online program)
Demonstrate fluency in English if you are from a non-English speaking country
There are no GRE or GMAT scores required to apply.
International students from a non-English-speaking nation must submit an English proficiency exam score. A test of ELP can be waived for students who attended a school for a minimum of four years where the primary language of instruction was English. TOEFL test scores must be sent to Syracuse University from ETS. Tests of English Language Proficiency from other testing services may be submitted in lieu of a TOEFL / IELTS / Duolingo.
